This animation simulates molecular vibrations.

You may visualize animations for the vibration modes of a large number of molecules of various shapes:

  • tetrahedral, octahedral, linear, square-planar, etc.


Suggestions:

You may:

  • Study the 3D structures of many molecules
  • Analyse the vibration modes in detail
  • Discuss how the calculations and the animations can be made
