Overview:

This simulation allows us to experiment with mechanical energy conservation.

You may modify:

  • The initial height
  • The height of the barrier
  • The loop radius

You may also show the position of the cart at equal time intervals.


Suggestions:

Conduct experiments for different values of the three parameters that you can change and make a list of the different outcomes.

Explain the results.

In "Show" mode, you may also explain the variation in the distance between consecutive white dots at different parts of the trajectory of the cart.
